Meet and great at Nairobi airport with hotel transfer and briefing. The rest of the day free.

 

Up on arrival to Nairobi airport you will be welcomed by our representative and transferred to your hotel. At that point you will receive our client-envelope containing all important travel documents for services that we have booked for you, as well you will have a chance to chat about your itinerary and other points of interest that you may wish to know about - make the most of our knowledge and ask all the questions you can think of! Depending on the time of your arrival to Nairobi, you will have the rest of the day free.If you wish to explore round Nairobi and visit some of it's attractions, it is best to spend another overnight at Nairobi. We have put together Nairobi Excursion list, inclusive points of interest like:

● David Sheldrick Wildlife trust, where orphaned elephants are raised and introduced back to the wild

● Giraffe Centre where you can observe and hand-feed Rothschild’s giraffes, a very endangered spices in Africa

Nairobi - Maji Moto Village

Start your safari. Travel to Maji Moto via Narok town. Afternoon guided Maasai culture and nature walk on Loita Hills.


08.00h - Our driver-guide will meet you at the reception of your hotel to take you out on safari. Your adventure starts here! Drive North-West, out of Nairobi via Great Rift Valley-Escarpment into the land of Maasai tribesman. Nestled on a hilltop deep in Maasai lands and overlooking vast savannah plains, Maji Moto Eco Camp is a small, environmentally-sensitive retreat. Operated by Maasai people from the nearby village of Maji Moto, a stay here will immerse you not only in the intense natural beauty of the Loita Hills, but also in the ancient culture and knowledge of the Maasai. Afternoon spent in camp orientation, guided nature walk and cultural briefing with fire making "Maasai style" presentation followed by winding down the day with camp fire stories.

After dinner, for those who prefer, Hot spring bath under the stars, can be visited. The name 'Maji Moto' means 'Hot Water', and this refers to the natural hot spring near the camp (1km). Surrounded by trees, a dip in the spring at evening is a refreshing way to soak away the days exertions.

Maji Moto Village

Full day spent on guided wildlife tracking safari on Loita Plains with Local-School visit. Afternoon descent on foot or on mountain-bike to village centre.

You will start early departing with packed lunch on foot to Loita Plains for Wildlife tracking Safari. These plains host numerous wildlife like: Giraffe, Wildebeest, Zebra, Eland… as well as many different bird species. Your local Maasai guide will be your field guide full of interesting facts of wildlife and nature that you will meet. While out on these walking-safari you'll visit the Local School too (If during school opening days!. Kids and Teachers are always happy to receive some presents from their visitors (you can bring pens & pencils, colours, books, blackboard-chock or even better - educational wall-posters like world-map, human-body, spelling and similar. The school is on primary level and the kids are from 5 to 12 years old). Afternoon spent enjoying the views and nature surrounding the camp or taking another walk down to village centre to check how life runs in these remote African village (on foot or with mountain-bikes).

Maji Moto Village - Masai Mara Reserve

Travel to Masai Mara with game-drive enroute. Afternoon game-drive at Masai Mara NR.

After breakfast - Maasai Warrior training; measuring skills in Sisal stick fighting, spear throwing and archery will be organized. Afterwards it is time to say good bye to your Maasai host and continue with your journey to the next destination. Travel deep into the Great Rift Valley to the famous Masai Mara National Reserve with first game-drive already enroute to your camp/lodge. Afternoon game-drive till evening, following BIG 5 at this world's prime-Wild reserve.

MASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE

The Masai Mara hosts the worlds natural greatest spectacle - the Annual Wildebeest migration which occurs from June to October when the Mara becomes host to an almost unimaginable 1.7 million of wildebeest and 260 thousand zebra seeking the grasses raised by the Spring rains of April and May. NOTE: The Maasai Mara is an all year round destination with the big cats, and all the big game still in the Masai Mara Ecosystem.

Masai Mara Reserve

Morning game-drive enroute. Afternoon guided walking-safari on Siria escarpment.

After an early breakfast depart with morning game-drive enroute towards Western-Wall of Great Rift Valley (Siria-Escarpment). Exit the National Park and drive up the steep road out of the Rift. Lunch on top of the Escarpment, followed by guided walking-safari, escorted by Maasai guide. You will surely enjoy the views over the wilderness of Masai Mara!

Masai Mara Reserve - Lake Victoria

Travel to Lake Victoria via Isebania border crossing to Tanzania (Exchange of vehicles)

After breakfast depart North-west towards Lake Victoria to cross the border at Isebania to TANZANIA (exchange of vehicles). Continue your journey to reach lake side in the late afternoon hours. Afternoon spent at leisure of your lodge.

Lake Victoria is the second largest fresh water body lake in the world that is a key source of fish and an increasingly one stop tourism destination. The lake has a great wetland surface that offers birdwatchers wonderful expedition where they can watch the island fish eagles running a spectacular scene diving way from above the sky into the water to catch their prey.

Early morning Canoe-trip to near by fisherman's village to check out how life runs at these peaceful place. After the morning excursion continue with picnic lunch towards Serengeti National Park with game-drive enroute. Serengeti - "endless plains" in Maasai language, one of the largest and most known wildlife sanctuaries in the world. It hosts more them 3 million large mammals including so called BIG 7: Buffalo, Elephant, Lion, Leopard, Rhino, Cheetah and Hunting dog.

Early morning departure with lots of game-drive through Serengeti towards Ngorongoro Crater. Late afternoon spent at leisure enjoying the views from your room or lodge terrace.

OPTIONAL: • En route stop over at Olduvai Gorge museum where one of the oldest mankind remains (Homo Hablis - "handy man") has been discovered. Among these other fossils can be seen here, including prehistoric Elephants, giant horned Sheep and enormous Ostriches.

It is one of the most likely areas in Tanzania to see the endangered Black Rhino, as a small population is thriving in this idyllic and protected environment.

Ngorongoro Crater - Zanzibar Island

After an early breakfast descent into the Ngorongoro Crater for game-drive till Lunch. Afterwards leave crater floor by driving up the steep road of the crater, down to the bottom floor of Great Rift Valley to Arusha catching your flight to ZANZIBAR ISLAND. We'll pick you up from Zanzibar airport and transfer you to your beach hotel to enjoy the rest of your holiday on sandy beaches of Indian Ocean.
