Thomson's Falls

Thomson's Falls

Thomson's Falls was the name of both the neighbouring town as the waterfall. The cascade plunges 74m on the Ewaso Narok River on the far northern end of the Aberdare Ranges. The Falls descend a 74m cliff creating mist that feeds the dense forest below. Visitors can view the falls from above, or there's a trail down to the bottom of the ravine. Upstream from the falls is one of the highest hippo pools in Kenya.
